If you are active in the social media world then you must have come across the popular social portal named stumble upon. Stumble upon was one of those site that used to send me huge traffic back in 2006, though the traffic hardly converts in anything much as far as monetizing is concerned, but it can do a lot good in further promoting your blog or increasing your rss subscribers, twitter followers and at the least, you get a unique visitor all the same. I still remember that day when stumble upon sent me several thousand visitors and my site got off line, my host told me that I have consumed my whole month’s quota in a single day. I changed my local host that day, for good.

In this article am going to show you how to add a stumble upon vote it button. This button helps a lot, for example check out this page – stumbleupon vote it button it got 100+ stumbles. Make it easy for your visitors to share your article on the social media platforms and sit back and enjoy the results.

  • Go to the stumbleupon website and scroll to the very bottom, you will find a link that says, stumble badges. Once you click that link, it will take you to the stumble upon partner program page. From there you can email stumbleupon for more information about being a partner or scroll down further to the bottom and click on the link that says – discovery for your site. After you click on that, it will take you to the stumble upon buttons page.

    Stumble upon has got a new button there, it displays the voting button as a counter. That way you can check out how many stumbles your page has got. If you check out the top, right side of this blog post you will find a similar button waiting there for your vote :)

  • So, just select the button and on the next step, choose your blogging platform and you will get the code on the 3rd step. Select the code and paste it in your single.php page. I like to add it on the tweetmeme code. If you want to do that, check out this post.

Adding a button is one thing and getting votes and thumbs up is another, for best results make sure that you vote on others post and only then you will see the same love coming towards your own blog posts.

      You know what when I was new to blogging I heard that Stumbling posts increase traffic, but it didn’t work for me. Facebook and Twitter gave me a lot traffic. :)

      Stumble Upon can be dynamic in generating traffic, One of my article got more than 10k visits through StumbleUpon. This is a must tool for all bloggers
